How it worksUse your costs, then solve for margin.
Margin is not markup. Suggested selling price = total entered cost ÷ (1 − target margin). For example, $1,000 of cost at a 30% target margin is $1,428.57, not $1,300.
Worked exampleEight labor hours, materials, and disposal.
8 labor hours × $30, 10 material units × $20, and $60 of other cost = $500.00 cost. At 25% margin, suggested price is $666.67 and estimated profit is $166.67.
